Our Career Training Program
Vision: To create a replicable model for employing adults with autism
Program Outcome:
- To build transferable social and job readiness skills via a customized training program
- To prepare and bridge employment opportunities for individuals with autism within businesses across Connecticut
Program Opportunities:
- Students from age 16 – 21
- Adults 21+
To meet the person where they are on their path to employment, our program has six essential elements of success:
- Job Readiness Evaluation/Initial Screening
- Vocational Assessment, Exploration and Work Exposure
- Employment Readiness Training (Classroom and On the Job Training for 3 Career Tracks)
- Agriculture
- Retail/Customer Service
- E-Marketing/Information Technology
- Transitional Work Training
- Job Search and Placement
- Follow Along Support

Need some help getting started?
Individuals ages 21 and over, who need job training support but can ultimately work competitively, can request a referral through BRS for a working interview, an assessment for hire, or placement. Click here to visit BRS
Individuals Ages 16-21, who receive Special Education Services through their local Board of Education, can be referred to our Career Training Program through their school system
